Hip and groin pain
Our Kensington Osteopaths see clients with hip and pelvic pain associated with a variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders.
Typically, these symptoms occur from an accident that resulted in acute discomfort or from misuse. These injuries can occur while participating in sports and hobbies such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA/UFC (mixed martial arts), Kickboxing, Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo, Powerlifting and resistance training (gym), running, swimming, cycling, tennis, AFL, Rugby, and strolling.
Hip and thigh pain are produced by a variety of different factors. Typically, pain is caused by injuries to the joints (hip joint, pubic symphysis, sacroiliac joint), ligaments surrounding the hip and groin, and soft tissue muscles and tendons.
When you visit an osteopath at Mixed Osteo for hip or leg pain, they will often begin with a full case history, followed by an assessment and treatment plan that may include manual therapy, movement therapy, and exercise prescription.
