Everything you need for your first appointment: booking, what to bring, how long it takes and what it costs to claim.

Before you arrive

Book online any time, or call (03) 4054 1621. No referral is needed.
Wear something you can move in
Shorts and a loose top work well. If the problem shows up in a particular movement, we'll probably ask you to show us.
Bring anything relevant
X-rays, scans, blood tests or specialist reports, and your health fund card.
Find the rear entrance
We're at 92 Parsons Street, inside the Renegade BJJ building. The clinic door is at the back, not the main gym doors.
Your first appointment
Allow 45 minutes to an hour.

What's going on, your health history, work, training and goals.
Assessment
How you move, the area that hurts, and a check for anything that needs a doctor first.
Treatment
Hands-on treatment on the day where it suits.
What happens next
What to keep doing, what to hold off on, and when to come back. If exercises will help, we take you through them in the session and you film them on your phone, so you know exactly how they go at home or in the gym.
Fees, claims and policies

Free street parking on and around Parsons Street. Kensington, Macaulay, Newmarket and Flemington Bridge stations are all within walking distance, and the 57 tram runs along Racecourse Road.

Questions people ask
Do I need a referral?
No. Osteopaths are first-contact practitioners. A GP referral is only needed if you want to use a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan.
How long is the first appointment?
Allow 45 minutes to an hour for your first osteopathy appointment.
Can I claim on my health fund?
Yes, if your extras cover includes osteopathy or remedial massage. You can claim on the spot at the clinic.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less notice may incur a 50% cancellation fee.
