Find out why it hurts, not just where

Most people arrive knowing exactly where the pain is and nothing about what caused it. A shoulder that has been compensating for a stiff mid-back since January. A knee that gave out because the hip stopped doing its share.

Assessment here starts with gait and functional movement, because the part that hurts is often paying for something happening above or below it. You get hands-on treatment on the day, an explanation you can actually follow, and a plan in writing before you leave.

Most of the people we see are not fighters. They are office workers, parents, tradies, runners and lifters who want to stop working around a problem.

Osteopathy, remedial massage, dry needling, loaded rehab in the TrueStretch, and nutrition, under one roof.

Outside the clinic he is usually running, on the mats, or looking for decent coffee.

Before you book

Do I need a referral?

No. Osteopaths are first-contact practitioners in Australia, so you can book directly. A referral only matters for funding pathways such as a Medicare care plan, DVA or WorkCover.

Can I claim on private health insurance?

Yes, if you hold extras cover that includes osteopathy or remedial massage. Check your level of cover with your fund.

What is the difference between an osteopath and a physio?

Both are five-year-trained, AHPRA-registered first-contact practitioners who treat musculoskeletal problems. Osteopathy places more emphasis on how a restriction in one area forces compensation elsewhere, and typically involves more hands-on manual treatment. More on the difference here.

What should I wear?

Shorts and a t-shirt. If the problem shows up in a specific movement or position, we will probably ask you to show us.

Will I have to stop what I'm doing?

Usually not. Complete rest is rarely necessary, whether that is training, work or getting through the day. You will leave with a written list of what is still safe to do this week.
